Holiday planner & cards

I just love the way this came out, what a great idea. I found this on another blog and just had to give it a try, I made this with left overs from the winter bright simply scrappin kit, I was on a mission to make as many cards as I could from it, and after using my brain to the max, I saw this and just had to " case" it, I will be doing more of these and giving them out this year, what a great way to keep track of who gets what from year to year. I just had to play with the penguin that everyone is making with the oval punches, what a fun thing to do, will have to use him more.



now, off to grabout more holiday paper and begin making some as the holiday is quickly approaching.

One more Planner to share

Here is MY planner, this is the one I have played with first then made the others.

Good ole chipboard makes a great accent on a cover.

Pencil Holder

Well, after making the planners, I decided to make use of my scraps, so I have done pencil holders from coasters and my bind it all to make a nice gift set. Maybe more pieces to come as I still have scraps left.

Fine tuned Planner

OK, I have not posted in awhile as I have been fine tuning my day planner. After making the first one, I realized that it could be a more productive planner so I have been making many of them and getting everything fine tuned. One of the things I did was to make pockets on all the pages, everyone needs a place to stuff receipts etc. Then I realized that as you get to the end of the year that a year at a glance calendar for 2009 would be great to have too, as well as starting off in 2008 and needing to look back at 2007 for something, so I incorporated those into the planner as well. Then at the back of the book, all planners have sections to write notes and addresses, so there are pages for those as well. Then what is better that having a paper clip to mark each month as it is current so you can jump to that month at an instant when opening it up. Thus you have my finished product that you see here.

One note: I still have to tie ribbon on the spine, so I will post a pic when that is completed.
